Net film weight deserves its own inspection line. Some quotations obscure value by emphasizing gross roll weight, which includes the paper core. The robust method is to weigh selected full rolls, determine the actual empty-core weight from the same core batch, or destructively remove the film from sampled rolls, and calculate:
Net film weight = gross roll weight - actual paper core weight - removable packaging
