Gusseted Poly Bags
Tuosheng Packaging manufactures gusseted poly bags, also called square bottom bags: LDPE or HDPE bags with side gussets that open into a box shape. We make them to your size for machinery, parts and bulky goods, and as liners for cartons, bins and gaylord boxes, including 48 × 40 in bulk boxes. Bags can be printed and shipped in the same container as our stretch film.

The side gussets let the bag open into a square bottom, so it fits box-shaped goods and containers without stretching. Every bag is made to the size of what it holds.

How do you size a gusseted poly bag?
A gusseted bag is sized as width × gusset × length. For a liner, the width and gusset match the length and width of the box, and the length covers the box depth plus extra film to fold over the rim. US suppliers write it in inches, for example 48 × 40 × 72 in.

Which gusseted bag thickness do you need?
Our standard 0.05 mm (about 2 mil) bag suits most parts and carton liners. Choose a heavier bag, up to 0.2 mm, for machinery, sharp-edged parts and large gaylord liners that carry heavy loads. Thinner bags of about 1–1.5 mil (25–38 µm) are common for light, clean goods.
LDPE bags are softer and resist punctures and tears better, which suits sharp-edged parts and machinery. HDPE bags are stiffer and can be made thinner for the same job.

Are gusseted poly bags the same as square bottom bags?
Yes. The side gussets fold out when the bag is opened, which gives it a flat, square bottom. Suppliers also call them bottom gusset bags or square bottom poly bags.
Can you make gaylord liners for 48 × 40 in boxes?
Yes. We make liners for gaylord boxes and bulk bins, including 48 × 40 in boxes. Send us the box length, width and depth, and we will confirm the liner size.
What thickness should I choose?

Can you print our logo on the bags?

What is your minimum order for gusseted bags?
It depends on the trade terms. For FOB, a full or half container works best. For EXW, there is no minimum.
Can I order gusseted bags together with stretch film?
Yes. Gusseted bags, pallet covers, other poly bags and stretch film can be loaded in the same container.
