Flat Poly Bags
Tuosheng Packaging manufactures flat poly bags: open-top LDPE and HDPE bags sealed on the bottom, the simplest and most widely used poly bag. We make them from 0.01 mm (10 µm) up to 0.2 mm (200 µm) thick, with 0.05 mm (about 2 mil) as our standard, cut to your width and length, clear or custom printed. Flat bags can be shipped in the same container as our stretch film.

Which Flat Poly Bag Thickness Do You Need?
For most packing jobs, start with our standard 0.05 mm (about 2 mil) bag. Go thinner, down to 0.01 mm in HDPE, for light items where cost per bag matters most. Go thicker, up to 0.2 mm, for heavy, sharp-edged or abrasive goods that need a heavy-duty bag.

How do you size a flat poly bag?
A flat bag is sized as width × length, measured inside the bag. To fit a product, add its thickness to both the width and the length, then add extra length if you will fold, tape or heat-seal the opening.
Send us the product size, or the size of the bag you use now, and we will confirm the bag size and send samples to check the fit. For box-shaped goods, a gusseted poly bag fits better. If your products come in many lengths, poly tubing on a roll lets you cut and seal each bag to length.

LDPE or HDPE: which flat bag should you choose?
LDPE bags are soft, flexible and clear, and they resist punctures and tears better, so they suit most parts, components and heavier goods. HDPE bags are stiffer, slightly cloudy and crinkle when handled, and they can be made thinner for the same job, which keeps the weight and cost per bag down for light items.

What is a flat poly bag?
A flat poly bag is an open-top polyethylene bag sealed on the bottom, with no gusset, so it lies flat when empty. It is also called a lay flat bag or open top poly bag.
What is the standard thickness of your flat poly bags?
Our standard is 0.05 mm (50 µm, about 2 mil). We make flat bags from 0.01 mm, for thin HDPE bags, up to 0.2 mm for heavy-duty use.
Should I choose LDPE or HDPE bags?
LDPE bags are softer, clearer and more puncture resistant, so they suit most parts and heavier goods. HDPE bags are stiffer and can be made thinner, which keeps the cost down for light items.
Do you also make reclosable bags?

What is your minimum order for flat poly bags?
It depends on the trade terms. For FOB, a full or half container works best. For EXW, there is no minimum.

Yes. Flat bags, other poly bags and stretch film can be loaded in the same container.
